Coffs Harbour and its surrounding Coffs Coast region is home to numerous stretches of quality sand, yet it's the most obvious one - Park Beach, often simply known as Coffs Harbour Beach - which steals the show. Fairly small in size but with several well-protected areas that are suitable for families, Park Beach is a very clean beach that remains generally uncrowded despite its popularity. The beach is well-patrolled during the warmer months, yet has a relative lack of commercialisation that helps keep the beach feeling more natural than those of many other overdeveloped east coast destinations.
The beach offers a great venue for simply relaxing for non-swimmers as well, with great views out to the islands that dot the surrounding waters; it's also not uncommon to see dolphins swimming amongst the waves for an extra added touch of life to the proceedings. Park Beach also offers a surprisingly good amount of parking given its popularity, with multiple entry points into the beach helping to break up congestion and provide several options for finding a spot. There's a surf club on the beach which serves great food and beverages for a reasonable price, while numerous other restaurants and cafes are just an easy walk away for those looking for greater variety.
