Location

The Royal Botanic Gardens in Cranbourne showcases an incredible range of Australian plant and animal life. Surrounded by natural bushland the gardens are frequented by a variety of Australian wildlife, adding extra excitement to your visit. You can wander around the grounds and take in all of the beautiful natural scenery or take a ride on the Garden Explorer. Seating 23 people, the Garden Explorer will drive you around the grounds in an open-air cart so you can see the whole gardens without tiring out.

The Australian Garden is one of the main features of the grounds, showcasing a range of native flora and fauna. The Red Sand Garden is a key feature of the area, showcasing the true Australian bushland. The Botanic Gardens are equipped with picnic areas and barbecue facilities close to the visitor centre and carpark. Woodland Picnic Area and Stringybark Picnic Area are the perfect spot to enjoy a quite bite or relax over a barbecue with friends.

  • Gardens open from 9am to 5pm everyday
  • Arrive early to secure a picnic table/barbecue
  • The gardens are wheelchair accessible (including the Garden Explorer)
