See 250 species from across Australia and around the world, from towering giraffes, gigantic Komodo Dragons and endangered Sumatran Tigers to bouncing wallabies, swinging monkeys and tiny insects. Plus meet Australasia’s only Giant Pandas!

Meet the animal keepers at daily keeper talks, and feel the flap of feathers in the Free Flight Bird Show while you enjoy the lush botanic gardens of the zoo. Grab a coffee or lunch at one of the onsite cafes, and you can even upgrade your visit and get within a whisker with a special Animal Experience.

Every visit to Adelaide Zoo supports local, national and global conservation of species, thank you for joining us in the fight against extinction.

Our keeper presentations offer a great opportunity to watch our animals get fed, enjoy some of their favourite treats or toys or simply learn more about them from the people who care for them. Our animals are always extra excited when they see their favourite keepers so it’s always the best way to make sure you get a great view of them!

Operating Hours

Adelaide Zoo is open daily from 9.30am to 5pm, including Christmas Day
Please note: Bookings for same day entry must be made before 9:30am

Location

Adelaide Zoo is situated on Frome Road, near the River Torrens. Entry is via Plane Tree Drive or From Road (Follow the signs)

Additional Information

Children under 15 years must be accompanied by a paying/supervising adult/concession during entry and at all times whilst inside the zoo grounds
Concession tickets ID must be shown on entry. Government Concession ID/ Full Time Student ID must be presented at Gate entry.
Tickets are non-refundable

Booking Information

Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking including a QR Code to be scanned on arrival.
Upon completion of purchase, please save the voucher on your phone (only print if required) to present to staff on arrival
