Itinerary

• 11:30 am - Self-guided entry through aquarium
• 12:45 pm - Meet with one of our passionate wildlife educators
• 1:00pm - Hand feed the Cownose sting rays with the curatorial team
• 1:30pm - Behind the scenes guided tour, feed the giant freshwater species and visit the Cairns Turtle Hospital & Coral Biobank
• 3:00pm - Tour concludes

• Cairns Aquarium is open daily from 9.30am to 3.30pm, with last admissions at 2.30pm

• Cairns Aquarium is located at 5 Florence St (on the corners of Abbott, Florence and Lake Sts), only a short walk from all major Cairns City hotels

Additional Information

• Children must be 12+ years to hand rays (souvenir gift will be substituted for children under 12).
• Wear shorts or trousers & closed toe shoes.
• You will be required to kneel down when you feed the ray.
• Be mindful of your noise, do not make loud noises.
• Do not touch the animals or the contents of their enclosure.
• Children are the responsibility of their parents/guardians or carer and must be supervised at all times. Children cannot attend this tour without a guardian present.
• Please tread carefully in this area, do not run in this area. There may be water present on floor.
• Lifts, escalators and accessible toilets throughout the attraction.
• If you are unable to walk onto the viewing deck for turtle hospital, you can still see the turtles in the tank through a viewing window.
• Wheelchair or Pram is accessible for Self guided walk through however not for Behind the Scene Guided Tour due to the Nature of the tour.

Cancellation Policy

• Any cancellations requested more than 48 hours prior to the visit date will be refunded.
• Any cancellations requested within 48 hours, regardless of the booking date, will incur 100% cancellation fees or we may amend the date of the booking - subject to availability.
• If numbers are reduced on the visit date, 100% cancellation fee will occur for the total cancelled.
