Come play in natures theme park with this Half Day River Tubing adventure on the Mulgrave River. This fun and exciting tour is a safe water activity, which includes calm water drifting, small rapids and some beautiful scenery.
The Mulgrave River is part of the catchment system for Queensland’s highest mountains, Bellenden Ker and Bartle Frere, which is also Australia’s highest rainfall area. This freshwater river flows year round and is bordered by rainforest and tropical vegetation, creating a lovely natural backdrop for your river tubing tour.
The Half Day River Tubing Tours are safe and fun. The minimum age to participate is 5. Minimum of 2 guides on the water. Foaming Fury guides are certified with the International Rafting Federation, a world wide organisation setting the standard in the rafting industry. Regular ongoing River Rescue and First Aid training ensures our guides maintain high safety standards on every tour.
Suitable for people of all experience levels, you’ll float on professional, high quality, twin chamber tubes down the river and across small, fun rapids. You have the option of hiring shoes for just $5. You should bring a towel and wear a swimming costume under your clothes. Please bring water resistant sunscreen and insect repellent with you and leave your jewellery and valuables at your accommodation.
This tour is a great introduction to river tubing. It’s a hands on adventure and safe water activity, with beautiful scenery and surrounds. A great way to get out and explore natures theme park in Tropical North Queensland.

What To Bring
- A smile on your dial and a sense of adventure. Please wear your swimming costume under your clothes and bring a towel and a spare change of clothes. Please leave all of your jewellery at your accommodation.
- Don't forget to wear secure shoes. Footwear with a heel strap must be worn and hire shoes are available, if you don't want to get your shoes wet.
- Valuables should be left at your accommodation. The following items can be left on the bus - dry clothes, daily medication, ticket / voucher, wallets, jewellery and watches.

Rainforest river tubing tours are suitable for most people over 5 years, no previous experience or swimming ability is required. Anyone under 18 years of age must travel with a responsible guardian or adult. If you’re concerned about your ability to participate, please contact our office.

Our rainforest river tubing tours are fully supervised, with a minimum of two River Guides on the water at all times. Our guides participate in regular ongoing river rescue and First Aid training, which ensures high safety standards on every tour. All equipment and instruction is provided. No previous tubing experience necessary.

The tour will be conducted at any one of these rainforest rivers – Behana Gorge, Mulgrave River or Little Mulgrave River – pending water levels and conditions on the day of travel. Every participant must sign a Liability Release Form prior to commencing Tubing. Passengers under the age of 18 years must have a parent or guardian sign on their behalf. Some medical conditions, disabilities or impairments may exclude participants from tubing for safety reasons. Tubing is not suitable for anyone who may be pregnant. Passengers should disclose any conditions at time of booking. No alcohol permitted on any tour. This is a half day tour with morning pick-ups from Cairns and Northern Beaches and afternoon pick-ups from Cairns only. All equipment is included. Travel is on a comfortable air-conditioned coach.
Cancellation Policy
- 50% cancellation fee applies within 48 hours of departure and 100% cancellation fee within 24 hours of departure

- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
- Availability was accurate at the time of booking however, is subject to change due to circumstances out of our control

- We strongly suggest reconfirming your booking with the tour operator within 24 hours of making your booking and prior to making other travel arrangements
“Take some dry clothes with you for the return journey home, as you will get really wet on the tour. You can leave extra clothing on the bus, but it's suggested to leave any valuables at your hotel, as you won't want to lose them in the river.”
