• We strongly advise that you arrive at Lakeside Station 30 - 45 minutes prior to your train departure to allow time for parking, and to check-in at the Lakeside Visitor Centre booking office for collection of your tickets and carriage allocation
• Due to the heritage nature of our carriages there is no room on the train ride for prams:
• An enclosed area has been made available on the platform where patrons can park prams when participating in this activity.
• Puffing Billy Railway will not be held responsible for passenger items or valuables
• PLEASE NOTE: No person will be allowed to sit on the carriage sill during Day Out With Thomas™
• Guide/Assistant dogs are the only dogs permitted on the train
• We require advice of any reduced mobility requirements prior to travelling so we can appropriately accommodate your needs and booking. There are accessible carriages where a ramp can be used to assist passengers with mobility requirements. To pre-book these carriages, please contact our customer service centre.

• Grab a table at the Lakeside Visitor Centre Railway Café for a delicious sit-down meal. Browse our family-friendly menu that includes light refreshments, local wines and beers and quality barista-made coffee.

• Adult supervision is required for children 4-13 years of age when sitting on the carriage sill – this means a maximum of 2 supervised children per adult within arm’s reach. Children under 4 years of age are not permitted to sit on the carriage sills.

Cancellation Policy

• Day Out With Thomas tickets are NOT transferable to other events and products nor refundable for the following circumstances:
• I. Changes to duration of train ride
• II. Changes to motive power i.e. substitution of steam locomotives for diesel locomotives
• III. Changes to advertised activities
• IV. Mechanical failures
• V. Infrastructure failures
• VI. Loss of tickets by customer
• VII. Change of mind by customer
• VIII. Customer failing to attend booked event on time, or at all.
• IX. Inability to provide a single Day out with Thomas character or event component

*Whilst every attempt is made to honour all bookings, Puffing Billy reserves the right to alter events, timetables or locomotives without prior notice

• On days of TOTAL FIRE BAN in the Central Zone, or the whole state of Victoria, Day out with Thomas TM events WILL BE CANCELLED. Should this occur, we will endeavour to contact ticket holders as early as possible
• Each Day out with Thomas TM event is assessed on a case to case basis. In cases of extreme weather, the event may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of management. In the case of our cancellation, we will endeavour to contact ticket holders as early as possible
• Trains will NOT be cancelled due to inclement weather
• On declared days of TOTAL FIRE BAN in the Central Zone or the whole state of Victoria, steam locomotives will not run, instead the train will be operated with a diesel locomotive

• Mobile Vouchers are accepted! - Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction
• Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
