Inclusions

• 1.5 hr non stop commentary and laser pointer tour of the night sky by an astronomer
• Use of provided telescope under red light to view the night sky with access to a private location
• Pull up stools for seating and Yoga Mats to lie on looking at the stars
• Main meal at Pretoria Hotel, Mannum Community Club, Swan Reach Hotel or Walker Flat
• MV Dragonfly Murray River Boat Eco-Cruise on board 16 seat flat bottomed boat
• Luxury travel in small group tour vehicle/s from Mannum to the Reserve area and return
• Insightful and light-hearted commentary by a local tour guide about locations enroute
• Fully enclosed trailer for transporting equipment and luggage upon request

• This tour is approximately 6 hours

Departure Location

• Prepare to meet at 4:20pm during non daylight savings hours, and 5:20pm during daylight savings, in the carpark, Arnold Park by the Ferries, 4 Randell Street, Mannum SA 5238 (next to the Visitor Information Centre).

Additional Information

• Unfortunately the Dark Sky tour itinerary no longer includes Ngaut Ngaut Conservation Park.
• Itineraries are subject to change dependent on availability, minimum numbers and weather.
• Weather is vital as telescopes are affected by wind, clouds and rain. Weather forecasts are unreliable until the day of the tour. By 3pm you will be notified if the careful examination by astronomers of weather and cloud forecasts are favourable for the tour. Tours may commence earlier or later than scheduled.
• We recommend Mannum Motel, Mannum Caravan Park or River Shack Rentals for overnight accommodation. When booking, be sure to let them know you are travelling with Juggle House!
• Dress warm, it can get cold at night time even in summer.
• A minimum of 6 confirmed passengers is required before the tour will depart.
• This tour is not a private charter unless the maximum of 11 passengers is reached by numbers in your group. This means you may be sharing the ride with others. Private charters are available on request, and the full capacity fare may be charged accordingly.

MOON PHASE CALENDAR

• This experience does not operate everyday of the year. We avoid holding viewing nights when the moon is very bright because you cannot look through a telescope during this time and we want you to see a Dark Sky. Selected dates are generally based on dark dates of the moon phase calendar. If you can't see a date on our calendar that you prefer to book, please review the moon calendar before contacting us.

WINTER HOURS

• During the darkness of winter, the astronomy start time is often earlier. This depends on the Gold Stars Sunset Dinner Tour coinciding with meeting up for this Astronomy only session.

• We love children! Please note however, this Dark Sky Experience is quite a duration, and a late night return. Children of young ages may find the tour difficult to follow. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult, mindful of the enjoyment of other guests during the tour. Child 3-16 years, Adult 16 & over, Infant: 2 years and under (travel free but must be advised at time of booking and your own car seat must be supplied).

• Without written notice or attending on the confirmed booking date - no refund under any circumstances.
