“ My husband and I visited the Australian National Maritime Museum where we were able to board a submarine, the destroyer and the Endeavour. This was a highlight, despite my fear of tight spaces, however was very informative with talks at various points throughout the vessels to explain things - unbelievable that so many people lived on board these vessels. Whilst my husband probably enjoyed this experience more than I did, it was still a highlight of our visit to Sydney.
Would recommend this tour for adults. Very interesting tour of all of the boats, and seeing how the sailors had to live. Informative guides who were there to give you some history as well as to what the boats were used for. Free part of the museum interesting as well.

7 years agoVisiting the Maritime museum was a rewarding experience. With the voucher, we skipped the queues and the staff were really helpful. We arrived early to beat the crowds and were first on the Endeavour. The submarine was an amazing trip and decided that I could never be a submariner. We then toured the destroyer and while not as interesting as the submarine, still a worthwhile experience. We went another day to do the exhibitions which are free and were able to take our time. While we didnt have any children with us, we went to the Pirates exhibition which is designed for kids and would recommend this to all parents, even we enjoyed it and lots of fund things to do as well as being educational. Food and drinks were available if required. Well worth the visit.
